Elles sont vissées en retour d'équerre sur la traverse ; à l'autre bout est un talon qui entre sous la tablette 4 pour la reculer ou l'amener sur la figure 5. Les branches sont à fleur de bois sur la table dans une rainure où elles coulent. 8. Arms of the slide. They are screwed at right-angles to the transverse bar. One end of each is turned over to fit a mortise in the moving cheek (fig. 4). In this way the moving cheek is pushed towards the fixed cheek. The arms run in channels in the top of the block.
