Détail / Detail (texte extrait des Explications des planches) 13. Talon qui saille dans le coffre, et qui est fixé sur la table, où il entre à fleur de bois par une vis et son écrou. Un pareil morceau de fer est également fixé sur la table et saille en dehors. On le nomme PORTE-ÉCROU, parce qu'il reçoit un écrou de 18 lignes de long qui y est fixé. Cet écrou a une vis de deux pouces de long avec un manche en équerre, dite VIS DE LA FROTTERIE. 13. Heel projecting over the chest, and screwed in flush with the top of the block. A similar fitting is seen projecting from the near-end of the block. It is a bracket supporting a collar in which the set-screw works. The screw is two inches long, and has a handle at right-angles to it.
