On fait monter ou descendre ce talon de façon qu'il ait la même saillie que le jet. F. The knot, a copper rectangle fastened to the lower end of the carriage (figure B) by the screw and bearing shown below it. The screw fits a thread in the end of the carriage. The knot is adjustable to conform to the projection of the set.
