Registre mobile, arrêté par une vis marquée au dessous ; il est fixé à volonté sur la longue-pièce par le moyen de la rainure que l'on voit à cette figure représentée seule. Le bec de ce registre entrant successivement dans les crans marqués à la figure H, fait monter ou descendre les deux pièces du moule l'une au dessus de l'autre ; ce qui allonge ou raccourcit la lame comme on le veut. E. Movable register, held in position by the screw shown beneath it. The slot in the middle allows it to slide in relation to the screw. The projecting tooth may be put in any of the notches in the cheek of the top-half, thbus regulating the extent to which one half of the mould overlaps the other. In this way the length of the lead is determined.
